I love to begin the meal with the temptation of the palate. The “Oyster Stew” does it for me. The look, the warmth, the tenderness and a dash of smoothness from the sherry begs you to go on.

First came the cream of mushroom soup with truffles and a poached duck egg. o.m.g. When was the last time you had a cream soup that stood up to red wine? It was the truffles. Earthy yet light. I almost licked the bowl….

(This is my post that first put the vocabulary of sex, lust & love to work for culinary pleasures. Apologies this isn’t a newly created piece but just goes to show I’ve been thinking about this idea for a long time! I hope you enjoy it.)
When I heard the phrase “Sex on a Plate” I immediately visualize the folllowing menu that I have been lusting for, since I stumbled upon this post back in ‘08.
The dishes, do not scream at you to come and get it. They are warm, inviting and they also whisper to you, come, relax and stay awhile.

Mouthgasm Elvis cupcakes
Intense, moist banana cake brushed with Jack Daniels. Topped with a rich cream cheese-based peanut butter frosting. And taken over the top with a piece of The Piggery artisan bacon.
